They gathered all us kids into a living room Soda in every cup and every eye on the good word Videos of cartoons of Jesus Christ on the cross Hoping none of us kids get lost Look at the body they drew on Mother Mary Look at the red in the savior’s side Although you’re stunting your growth Drinking coffee made you feel so grown as a child I drank cold coffee in a bible study Ten years later in a church All my friends from the body shop All got jobs and keep what they earn If the youngest son stuck to the drum He must play like a God It’s no sacriledge its the way it was meant The way the lord waves its magic wand Can only think of we’ve all grown We all used to be innocent smiles Though we stunted our growth Drinking coffee made you feel so grown as a child.
